Möbius + Ruppert

Möbius + Ruppert was founded in 1922 in Erlangen, in the Bavarian region of Germany, by Alfred Möbius and Heinrich Ruppert.

Initially, they created industrially made sharpeners from resin with a team of 20 employees. Post war the team grew, incorporating family members with new skillsets such as Alfreds grandson Ernst. Equipped with an engineering degree, Ernst helped develop numerous diverse patents including those for technical drawing and precision instruments.

Now being run by the fourth generation, M+R is still manufacturing from their base in Erlangen, in a space run on self-produced green energy.
